Living Wide Open

I received this email from a friend a couple weeks ago and wanted to share. It’s been on my mind a lot during the past month (as I have had a few of those “what the heck am I thinking” moments…)

Enjoy!

Dear Molly,

I have this poem that a friend shared with me… and I feel called to share it with you…as your adventure may have some “what the heck was I thinking” moments….

Living Wide Open
I will not die an unlived life.
I will not live in fear of falling or catching fire.
I choose to inhabit my days,
to allow my living to open me,
to make me less afraid
more accessible,
to loosen my heart until it
becomes a wing, a torch,
a promise.

I choose to risk my significance, to live so that
that which came to me as a seed
goes to the next as blossom
and that which came to me as blossom
goes on as fruit.
